Our Kathak Program
We offer a comprehensive Kathak curriculum designed for different skill levels:
Beginner Level
Introduction to basic footwork (Tatkaar), hand movements (Mudras), and simple spins (Chakkars).
Intermediate Level
Learning traditional compositions like Thaats, Amad, and Tukras, along with expressions (Abhinaya).
Advanced Level
Mastery of complex rhythms (Laya), detailed storytelling (Gat Bhav), and advanced performance pieces like Tarana and Gat Nikas.
Class Structure
Warm-up Sessions: Exercises to improve flexibility and stamina.
Technique Training: Focused practice on footwork, spins, and expressions.
Theory Lessons: Understanding the history, evolution, and styles of Kathak.
